I can't believe the summer has passed already! It has got me thinking about getting all the dogs groomed before it gets too cold outside!

Healthy skin and coat comes from the inside out so we look to our FEEDSENTIALS and SH EMP oil to fortify our dogs raw diet all year round. But then after that how do we get our dogs smelling fresh and clean and maintain healthy skin and fur? Shampooing often drys your dogs fur and skin causing it to be dry, itchy, irritated and in the winter can cause discomfort and perhaps cracking and bleeding!

Country Lane Pet Resort has recently put in place a new system that cleans and cleanses your dogs fur and skin without using shampoo! It is convienient and fast and we even offer a while you wait service for short coated dogs! This is revolutionary and in line with "less is better" concept. In a world of 'too much" it is nice to cut back and go back to the basics in life.

Where Did The Summer Go?

Can you believe that Autumn is really here? Before we know it there will be snow on the ground and Christmas lights glowing up the neighborhoods. Where did the summer go? Seems to me it may have been washed away with all the rain we had. However, we were really lucky to have beautiful weather at our funmatch back in June. The sun was shining and everyone had a blast with their dogs.







We looked around for an indoor facility this year so we could continue teaching classes throughout the winter. We're excited to start our new indoor classes next week! We'll be at Dozen Roses Farm on Taunton Rd, just west of Country Lane Pet Resort.

The owners and staff of Country Lane Pet Resort are excited to announce the official implementation of our new “While-You-Wait” bathing system and service starting on October 6, 2008**

Unlike conventional bathing processes, our grooming system offers the following advantages:

• Reduced time for bathing
• Little need for drying
• Deep cleansing without removing the skins natural oils leading to dry, itchy skin
• No residuals (soap, fragrance, etc) that can cause irritation and hold dirt
• Gentle enough to use daily
• Combined with a specialized hospital grade solution it can cleanse hot spots, skin allergy irritations, hives, flakey skin, itchy skin,wounds and surgical incisions (stitches) and STINKY skin.
•Works extremely well on skunk and other strong odours by removing the odour causing oils and not masking it with scent.

Other benefits to utilizing our service:
• Less stress on dog – short stay and no crating or confinement if you choose to wait.
• No cage drying or force dryers required on short coated dogs.
• Less driving – while-you-wait service saves time and expensive GAS !
• Can clean dog every time they get dirty to prevent dirt build up that causesmany skin issues or allergies.
• For all dogs (but especially those with injuries or limited mobility) it is no longer necessary for them to be lifted and moved multiple times from tub to table to dryer.

As an environmentally conscious company, Country Lane recognizes the following benefits that our new bathing system offers:

• uses 90% less water than conventional bathing method
• saves fuel normally used to drop off and pickup your pet
• uses less electricity by reducing the amount of water (hot and cold) and reducing or eliminating the need for electric drying

Please note: It is important that, although this system may provide your pet with relief from skin ailments, it is a topical cleansing and is not a cure for the allergic reactions and skin issues often related to allergies. Many times these reactions are related to diet and other environmental factors. Please ask formore information.


The following days and times are currently available during our
introduction of the while-you-wait bathing system:

Monday – 8-9pm–while you wait short coated dogs only
Tuesday – 8-9pm– while you wait short coated dogs only
Thursday – by appointment with groomer only during the day
Sunday - 12-4pm– while you wait only short coated dogs

All times listed above are for while-you-wait service with a maximum
wait time of 20minutes with the following conditions:

**Cost DOES NOT include the following:

• drying (dogs will be damp but not wet)
• nail trimming
• ear cleaning
• trimming/styling

We can only groom short to medium coated dogs during these time frames.

For additional grooming services such as clipping/scissoring, dematting/detangling,nail trimming, ear cleaning etc. please contact us for pricing for your particular dog. 905-263-8539 These services are offered as drop off service only as they require more time. Appointment is neccessary, currently we are booking into Novemeber.
